11/17/08 - AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Insurance granted rate increases of 12.3 percent for residential and 15.6 percent for commercial policies, effective February 1, 2009, for the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association, the state’s insurer of last resort for windstorm coverage.
